History

Round rope laces started to make their first appearance late last summer when a lot of creators on the social network tik tok started posting videos of themselves making this custom. As time went on they became more and more popular to where they are now.

Manufacturing

Making them isn't difficult, but it takes the right tools and a good amount of skill. Rope laces have a diameter of 10 to 12 mm which is two to three times more than a traditional shoelace hole. This means that we have to enlarge this hole considerably. After the holes have been enlarged properly, they must be cleaned so that the rope laces can be pulled through them.
We use special pliers with metal attachments to enlarge the holes.
When the holes are ready, all you have to do is to thread the laces and cut them to the desired length.

Such rope laces are suitable for everyday wear, they are easy to match with the rest of the outfit and can be worn in summer and winter. Of course, they are more suited to cooler temperatures, but they can handle hot summers too.
